At Lorca Institute we consider that your accommodation is a very important part of your stay in Compostela. We will do our best to make sure that your accommodation is of the highest quality and complies with Spanish and Galician legislations.
Accommodation
We offer a wide range of options depending on your tastes and budget. All accommodation options have been carefully selected and inspected by our staff. Many of them are near the school. When this is not the case (more than a 20-minute walk), we will do our best to place students near direct transport routes such as buses that stop near the school. Santiago de Compostela is not a big city and you will be able to go everywhere on foot.
We want our students to be happy and we hope they like the accommodation that we choose for them. Our registration staff is available during the day to attend to any needs students may have. The students (and their host families) will be given an emergency phone number so that they can reach the school or the families at any time. In the event that a student cancels his or her accommodation, they will be charged an administrative fee (see terms and conditions).
Shuttle service
We offer the possibility of being picked up at the airport or at the bus or train station and taken to your accommodation.

Staying with a family
This is a very good option to live in Compostela and a great chance to improve your Spanish.
Our accommodations are carefully selected and periodically inspected. You will have a single room (double ones are only available for pairs who come together). You can choose breakfast only, half board (breakfast and lunch or dinner), or full board (breakfast, lunch, and dinner). Laundry service included.
Shared apartment
For those who prefer more independence and want to cook for themselves, sharing an apartment is an alternative to staying with a family.
Apartments are located near the school, approximately 20 minutes’ walk away. They include private rooms and a shared kitchen. There will usually be other flatmates.
Hotel
We have special arrangements with several hotels in the city. Our special fares will suit all budgets.
Hotels are recommended for short stays (1 or 2 weeks), and we can arrange your stay in a hotel in the city centre. Please ask for our list of recommended hotels.
